Arrival & Access

320 N Henry Street, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185. Just two blocks from the Colonial Williamsburg Historic District, our inn is a short walk to museums, shopping, restaurants, The College of William & Mary, and the Williamsburg Train Station. Free private parking is available on-site.
On your day of arrival, you will receive a unique access code around noon via text and email. This code provides access to both the building and your room and remains active for the duration of your stay. Your check-in message also includes Wi-Fi credentials and other details to help you settle in.
Check-in begins after 3:00 PM. Please be mindful of noise levels if you arrive after 9:00 PM to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests.
Early check-in is available for $25 (arrival at 1:30 PM instead of 3:00 PM), subject to availability. You can add it as an option when booking online.
Check-out is before 11:00 AM. There's no need to contact the innkeeper unless you have questions or need assistance.
We are a small, contactless hotel offering fully refurbished rooms in a historic Victorian landmark. You can reach us by phone or email from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. Staff are on-site from 12 PM to 5 PM. An emergency line is available in the evenings for serious emergencies such as flooding, fire, or medical situations.

Your Stay

Every room includes fresh linens and towels, toiletries, a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The Dickens Suite, Austen Room, and Nightingale Room also include a mini fridge.
We offer complimentary coffee and tea in the parlor, available 24/7. Breakfast and room service are not available, but Williamsburg has excellent nearby options. See our restaurant recommendations for our favorites.
Fresh towels and trash removal are available for extended stays upon request.
We do not accommodate children under the age of four.
No, we do not allow pets.
Armistead House is a historic building with no elevator. Five of six guest rooms are on the second and third floors and require stair access. The Austen Room (Room 101) is on the first floor with a private entrance and three steps. None of the rooms are ADA-accessible.
Armistead House is a historic building with character and charm, which means shared walls and original hardwood floors. We ask that guests be respectful of others, especially between 10 PM and 8 AM.

Amenities & Parking

Yes, free parking is available on-site, directly behind the building, with one spot allocated per room. Additional public parking is located at the Prince George Parking Garage, just one block away. A bicycle rack is also available for you to secure your bikes.
We do not have EV charging stations on-site, but the Prince George Parking Garage, located one block away, offers two universal charging stations on the first level and two Tesla charging stations on the second level.

Policies

Yes. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
Full refund of deposit if cancelled 7 days or more prior to the check-in date; otherwise, loss of deposit. Reservations during designated event weekends (e.g., W&M graduation, homecoming) may be subject to modified cancellation terms. For full details, see our policies.
Armistead House is 100% smoke-free. Smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, candles, and incense are not permitted anywhere on the premises. A $700 minimum fine will be charged to the card on file for any violations.

Events & Groups

Yes, events can be hosted with prior approval from management. Event bookings require contracts and are subject to specific booking fees.
Yes, you can book all rooms as a complete block. Events must be separately approved by management.
