Where are you located?

Conveniently located within a short two block walk to the Colonial Williamsburg Historic District and its iconic Duke of Gloucester Street, museums, shopping and restaurants. It's also a short walk to The College of William & Mary and the Williamsburg Train Station. Leave your car in our free private parking lot and enjoy the short stroll to the heart of Williamsburg.

What are the check-in procedures?

Prior to your arrival, we will send a code that will allow you to access the building and your room. The code will be active for the duration of your stay.

What time is check-in?

Check-in is anytime after 3:00pm on arrival day. Guests may access the building at anytime after 3:00pm on arrival day, however, if you are entering the building past 9:00pm, we ask that you be mindful of your noise level for other guests in the building.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is before 11:00am. There is no need to reach out to the innkeeper for check-out, unless you have any questions.

Are you a hotel?

We are a small, self-service inn that offers fully refurbished rooms within a historic landmark of Colonial Williamsburg. Our staff is available from 9 AM to 4 PM weekdays either in person at the lobby, or by message, and our innkeepers are often there at other times. We have a 24-hour phone that guests can call in case of emergencies outside our regular hours.

Do you serve breakfast or have room service?

There is self-service coffee and tea available in the parlor from 8:00am - 5:00pm on weekdays. Breakfast is not served on site nor is there room service, but we are a short walk away from multiple restaurants, including the Blue Talon and Aromas, which serve a wonderful breakfast.

Do you require a deposit?

A 50% deposit is required upon booking.

What is your cancellation
policy?

Full refund of deposit if cancelled 7 days or more prior to the check-in date; otherwise, loss of deposit.

Do you allow children?

We do not allow children under the age of four due to the intimate nature of the inn.

Are the rooms handicap accessible?

No, unfortunately due to the age of the building, handicap accessibility is limited to the first floor. All rooms available to book are walk-up only.

Is parking available at the inn?

Parking is free and is located immediately behind the building. One spot is allocated per room. Additional public parking is located at the Prince George Parking Garage, one block from Armistead House.

Do you have charging stations for EVs?

We do not, however, the Prince George Parking Garage, located one block from the Armistead House, has two universal charging stations on the first level, and two Tesla charging stations on the second.

Are events allowed at Armistead House?

Yes, with prior approval by management and contracts in place for event booking fees.

Can I book all available rooms?

The rooms at Armistead House may all be booked in one complete block. However, events must be separately approved by Armistead House.

How often are rooms cleaned during my stay?

If you book to stay for longer than three nights, a mid-stay towel change will be provided if needed.
